Washington DC Wedding Photographer New York Wedding Photographer His and Her Photography

I had the great pleasure of getting to know Kendra and Jed in Washington, DC. We did an afternoon (engagement) photoshoot at their family home in NW DC. It was a great way to establish a connection between us and for Kendra and Jed to become more comfortable with my photography style. In New York, I photographed their rehearsal party at the River Club of New York on E 52nd on Friday evening. It was an intimate gathering under the auspice of a late summer harvest moon. Here is a photo of the moon rise over the East River:

I photographed with Kendra and Jed for the whole day on Saturday, their wedding day. They rented a suite at the Marriott Hotel on E 49th and Lexington and prepared for the wedding in a relaxed and convivial setting with their close friends and family. We hopped in a cab and crossed the river to The Foundry for the ceremony and reception. In all, it was a really beautiful wedding celebration and I’m so grateful to have been invited to document it with a photojournalistic flavor. Here are a few images from their story:

  1. Drew, thanks so much for photographing our wedding. We couldn’t have been happier with how the pictures turned out–and you were so relaxed and fun to work with. Looking back at the pictures reminds me of how much fun we had during our wedding weekend–and how wonderful all of our friends and family are. Thanks for documenting these memories!

  2. Hey Kendra!

Thanks for inviting me to be a part of it all. The whole weekend was really amazing and your friends and family made my work an absolute pleasure. I especially enjoyed our cab adventure along the East River (and who could forget that wild cab driver!!!). Do give my best to Jed.

    Cheers,
    Drew

  4. ABSOLUTELY LOVE!!! the photos. The Foundry looks like a really interesting place – with the exposed brick and the romantic-moody lighting. The images really capture that well. And, the NY Taxi photo is a classic!
